Abstract

1518384 Position bags at a filling station HAVER & BOECKER 28 April 1976 [3 May 1975] 17304/76 Heading B8C In a packaging machine having joins 15 for clamping a bag mouth against a filler pipe 12 and bars 17, 18 movable towards each other to squeeze air out of a filled bag there is a pusher 22 mounted adjacent the filler pipe and movable between the pipe and a bar 18 to draw a supplied bag over the bar. A bag formed by a welding and cutting apparatus 8, 9 from a tubular fibre is transferred by a conveyer 11 to suction strips 13, 14 which open the bag mouth. Spreader fingers 15 transfer the opened bag to the filler pipe over the bar 18. The pusher 22 is driven by a pneumatic cylinder 21.
