Abstract
1516991 Boilers T MULLER 25 July 1975 [4 April 1975] 31200/75 Heading F4A In a sectional boiler, two boiler members la, lb are symmetrically disposed on opposite sides respectively of the boiler axis E-E and each boiler member consists of a separate water chamber 2a, 2b which define recesses to form a fire chamber 3 and smoke gas flues 5,6,7, leading to an exhaust smoke tube 5. The separate water chambers 2a, 2b are connected together in parallel to form a common water supply line 15 and a water return line 16. A flue deflection plate 4 is provided in the upper region of the fire chamber 3. The boiler members 1a, 1 are made of cast iron and are braced to one another and to a surrounding boiler housing 18 by means of anchor bars 13 and nuts 14. A burner door 10 is provided at the front end of the housing 18 and is provided with an aperture 21 for a burner and an explosion door 12, the door 10 tightly sealing the fire chamber and the smoke gas flues.
