Feeding webs.-In a device for use in unrolling piece goods the usual slat or board 8 on which the material is wound is secured to a spindle 5 b adjustable clamps 6, and the spindle 5 is rotatably mounted in ball bearings 3 on a framework supported from a ceiling, &c., by ropes 14 running round pulleys and connected to a counterweight 16. A part 1 cf the framework is pivoted to a cross-bar 10 so as to allow the spindle 5 to be removed from the bearings 3, the part 1 being locked in position by a notched pivoted link 11 engaging a pin 12.
