1515972 Suction dredgers BALLASTNEDAM GROEP NV AMSTERDANSE BALLAST BAGGEN EN GROND (AMSTERDAM BALLAST DREDGING) BV and SCHEEPSWERF EN MACHINEFABRIEK DE LIESBOSCH BV 26 March 1976 [15 April 1975] 12351/76 Heading E1F To allow of greater angular movements of at least one of the universal joint-bellows assemblies 16a, 16b, 15 in the suction pipe system of the referred to Specification 1405234 the or each assembly is modified by so securing the bellows ends to the hinge parts 16a, 16b that the axial directions 17a, 17b of the two bellows ends rigidly secured to the same hinge part are diverging, angle t, as they extend in a direction towards the universal joint. Preferably the axial direction of each bellow's end is also at an acute angle to the plane going through the centre lines 26a, 26b of the two rigid pipe sections rigidly secured to the same hinge part as the bellow's end. Each bellow's may be arranged between the pipe sections so as to be in an axially compressed state.
