Abstract

151,358. Cornish, P. June 21, 1919. Folding seats; frames; fixing furniture to floors. -The framework of tip-up seating for cinemas &c. comprises under frames 1, secured directly or by foot plates 2 to the floor, L-shaped members 3 secured to the frames 1, longitudinal members 4, 6, and intermediate L-shaped members 5. The framework may be of mild steel sections, the members 5 preferably being of T-section, and the members 3 of L-section. The weight of the seat 15 and occupant may be taken by the front longitudinal member 4, and removable arm-rests 9 may be secured upon brackets 8. The inclination of the seating may be adjusted by means of distance-pieces 24.
