Abstract

1511101 Pipe assembly QVF GLASTECHNIK GmbH 6 March 1976 9062/76 Heading F2G A pipe assembly comprises a tube 1 of ceramic material with a thickened end portion 3 having a conical outer surface and terminating in a radially outwardly projecting flange 14, a loosely fitting flange ring 15 having a conical inner surface encircling the end portion 3 and a resilient insert 17 shaped to conform to said inner and outer surfaces between the tube and the flange. As shown two such assemblies are bolted together. The flange ring 15 may be provided with a shoulder 16 to abut against insert 17.
