An assembly of tubes made of synthetic thermoplastic material, for waste pipe lines, comprises a tube 1 which has a widened section 3 at one end, a tube 2 received in the widest section 3, and an annular lid 6, the rim 4 of the widened section 3 being widened to receive an 0 ring 5, insertable between its inner wall and the outer wall of the tube 2, and being provided with an anchoring rib 7 for the lid 6, which lid has a complementary rib 8 which can slide over the rib 7 and snap behind it. The lid 7 is preferably made of duroplastic material. In modifications, the rib 7 or the rib 8 may be replaced by suitably shaped projections distributed at regular intervals around the peripheries.
