1509727 Holding bags open METROMETHODS Ltd and R F PEROLLS 9 March 1976 [23 April 1975] 35608/76 Divided out of 1509726 Heading B8C The mouth of a bag 52 is initially held open by stretching the mouth thereof about abutment mean 55 whilst clamping a further portion thereof, e.g. using clamping jaws 56, 58; further clamping means 60 then being brought into engagement with the abutment means 55, e.g. by means of pneumatic cylinder 59 to further clamp the bag for filling. The clamping jaw 58 is selectively positioned on the arm 61 and the jaw 56 is movable on the arm between positions adjacent the abutment means and in clamping engagement with the jaw 58, respectively, by means of pneumatic cylinder 57.
