Abstract
1509440 Apparatus for building a concrete bridge ING THOR FURUHOLMEN AS 2 Dec 1975 [2 Dec 1974] 49482/75 Heading E1G Apparatus for building a concrete bridge comprises an elongate formwork 3, Fig. 1A, in the form of two separable halves 3, 3', Fig. 5A, and which is horizontally movable on rolling and/or sliding units 5', mounted on a bridge column 2, and which each comprise two rolling and/or sliding supports enabling movement of the formwork in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, the supports, Fig. 6B, being in two parts joined by a vertical pivot 31, and a torsion resistor 4, Fig. 5A, having rolling and/or sliding supports 13' for mounting it on a completed portion 22 of the bridge deck and allowing transverse displacement of the formwork halves 3, 3'. The apparatus is advanced by two jacks which operate alternately. The supports, Fig. 6B, comprise a lower trolley 25, where wheels 25' run on laterally extending beams 5 connected to a bridge column 2, an upper trolley 23, pivoted to the trolley 25 about a vertical axis, whose wheels (23') support the formwork, and hydraulic jacks (24) which can raise or lower the upper trolley relative to the lower one. The beams 5 are attached to the bridge columns 2 by rods anchored in the columns and joined by connecting sleeves to secondary rods carrying the beams 5, Figs. 4A, 4B (not shown). The torsion resistor, Fig. 5A, comprises a cross beam 12 pivotable about a vertical axis 16 on a carriage 13 and transversely displaceable gantries 11 mounted on the beam and carrying the formwork halves 3, 3' which are in the form of box girders supporting shuttering 14.
