Abstract

1507293 Two part cassette ITEK CORP 2 Sept 1976 [8 Sept 1975] 36290/76 Heading B8M Photo-sensitive material 2 is fed through a light-tight exit 6 in a cartridge 1 by rollers 11, 12 of a light sealed buffer box 7 detachably secured to the cartridge 1 by bolts 8, 9 to present the material 2 to an exposure station of a camera processor. The buffer box 7 includes light seals 21, 23 to prevent fogging the leader material 3. A cutting station 15 is also provided in the processor. Since the leading edge of the leader 3 is close to the bite of the rollers 11, 12 light entering orifice 13 does not fog substantial portions of the material 2. To further prevent fogging the inside walls of the box 7 preferably bear a light-absorbing coating, and foam members 25, 25<SP>1</SP> may be provided. The drive rollers 11, 12 may operate to translate the material back to the bite of the rollers, but not beyond them or all of the way through the seal 4, so that the cartridge 1 can be replaced with a cartridge having a material of choice.
