Abstract

1507086 Tank containers WESTERWALDER EISENWERK GERHARD GmbH 18 Nov 1975 [29 Nov 1974 1 Oct 1975] 47361/75 Heading B8P A tank 2 is mounted in a framework, which may be to I.S.O. dimensions, by saddle members 9 at the ends of the tank, each member 9 being bolted to a T-member 11 on the tank and welded to base 4 and cross-members 5, 6 of the base of the framework. In another embodiment the framework consists only of the base frame. The saddle-members have portions bent to extend transversely of the base and secured to crossmembers 6. At their other ends each saddle member has a portion 15 extending to the corner of the framework. In one embodiment a corner diagonal 7 sitffens the base frame and a corner gusset 19 may be fitted. In another form the diagonal 7 and a corner gusset 20, Fig. 3, are replaced by a tie-member (39), Fig. 7 (not shown) extending between transverse members 5, 6. The cross-members 6 may be provided with pockets to accommodate the tines of a fork-lift truck. For transmitting forces in the longitudinal direction of the frame a member 24 welded to the T-member 11 engages between two members 25 secured on the adjacent saddle member.
