Abstract

1504655 Dielectric fluid MONSANTO CO 28 May 1976 [26 Nov 1975] 22199/76 Heading C5F An electrical device contains as biodegradable dielectric fluid at least one halogenated diphenyl methane having the formula wherein each X is individually Cl, Br or F; n is 1 to 4, each R is C 1 -C 5 alkyl and m is 0 or 1 to 3. The fluid may also contain 0À001-8 wt. per cent of an epoxide stabilizer, e.g. 3,4 - epoxycyclohexylmethyl - 3,4 -epoxycyclohexane carboxylate. The electrical device may be a capacitor or a transformer.
