Abstract

1503395 Pipe connectors ATTOCK OILFIELD EQUIPMENT CO Ltd 17 Sept 1976 [19 Sept 1975] 38510/75 Heading F2G A pin 2 and box 1 connector has complementary tapered buttress screw threads 11, 9, a frusto-conical shoulder 16 on the pin 2 engaging a substantially identical frusto-conical surface 7 on the end of the box 1 to prevent radial expansion of the box end and a frusto-conical shoulder 8 on the box 1 engaging a substantially identical frusto-conical surface on the end of the pin 2 to prevent radial contraction of the pin end. Sealing rings 17, 18 are provided. The pin 2 and box 1 may be of steel and may be welded at 4, 3 respectively to pipe sections.
