Abstract

1497713 A door stop mechanism; catches; hold-open hinges PAUMELLERIE ELECTRIQUE 14 Jan 1975 [17 Jan 1974] 1545/75 Headings E2A and E2F A door stop arrangement in particular for an automobile vehicle, comprises retaining means provided with at least one elastomer element 14 which cooperates with pressing means 13 which, under the action of the opening torque of the door, pass beyond, by elastic deformation, the retaining means and assume a stop position. The, or each, element of elastomer element 14 comprises a rubber sleeve 23, compressed between, and bonded to, two steel sleeves 21, 22 and is freely rotatably mounted on a pin 16 fitted in sleeves 17 on a branch 6 of an L-shaped hinge part 4 which is bolted, at 7, to a vehicle door post 3, the other branch 8 of the hinge part 4 supporting the pivot pin 1 which extends through two branches 9 of the other forked hinge part 11 which is secured, at 12, to the vehicle door 2. A pressing rod 13 is fixed between the two branches 9 of the hinge port 11. In a modification, Fig. 3 not shown, the pin (16) carrying the collar (18) is mounted between the two branches (9) of the hinge part 11, the collar (18) cooperating with a cam (26) which is fixed to the hinge part (6) and which has two stop notches (28, 31). In a further modification, Fig. 4, two forked hinge parts 33, 34, fitted one inside the other. are interconnected by a pivot pin 1, the branches 36 of the fork 33, which is secured to the door post 3, each defines an arcuate slot 37 in which is disposed the pin 16 which supports the collar 18 and which is mounted between the branches 38 of the other fork 34 secured to the door 3. The collar cooperates with two pressure rods 13 which are mounted between the branches 36 of the fork 33, to provide two retaining positions
