Abstract

A hinge, for instance for the door of a piece of furniture, comprises a hinge arm 8 connected to a second hinge part 6 by means of hinge links 4. One of the hinge links 4 has a curved part 2 with a guiding edge 2'. At least one spring 1 presses against the curved part 2 via pressure lever 3 disposed therebetween. The pressure lever 3 is mounted on a hinge axle 5 of the hinge arm 8. The curved part 2 is associated with the other hinge axle of the hinge arm 8. The spring 1 acts in a direction substantially normal to the hinge arm 8 and the hinge axle 5 to hold the hinge in the closed position. <IMAGE>
