Abstract
149,659. Arato, A. Aug. 9, 1919, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Fixed-abutment type having outwardly-sliding vanes or sliding rocking vanes.-The usual working chambers are divided up by several vanes 7 so that in each division, after it has passed from the inlet port 4, the working fluid works expansively. The outwardly sliding vanes, Fig. 1, are controlled by a fixed cam-path 24, or, when the cam-path is circular, it may be arranged to rotate about its own centre by means of a sliding connexion with the rotor and thereby facilitate the cam control of the vanes. The sliding rocking vanes 7, Fig. 8, have arcuate T-shaped ends which slide in eccentric circular grooves 15 on either side of the rotor. The grooves may be in disks rotated by a sliding connexion with the rotor. In the form shown in Fig. 10, the vanes are connected to crank arms 30 fast on a shaft which is rotated by suitable gearing from the rotor shaft. On, the crank-arms may be loose on a fixed shaft.
