1493797 Vehicle suspensions N A MASSEY 29 March 1976 12547/76 Heading B7D In a semi-trailer having a tandem axle undercarriage 16 which can be moved along the chassis of the semi-trailer to allow the semi-trailer to be tipped rearwardly for easy loading, an angle iron 30 is welded to a flange plate 26 beneath each chassis side member 11 to form a pair of spaced parallel tracks which engage grooved rollers 32 rotatably mounted in undercarriage side members 18, a locking device on the undercarriage includes a spring-loaded pin engageable in one of a series of slots 47 for locking the undercarriage in a desired position, and retaining pins 43 mounted on the undercarriage extend above the flange plates 26 to limit upward movement of the semi-trailer relative to the undercarriage.
