Abstract

1493479 Tape cassettes NCR CORP 31 Oct 1975 [12 Nov 1974] 45225/75 Heading B8M [Also in Division B6] An ink ribbon cassette attachable to the moving print head carriage of a printer houses a ribbon in the form of a Mobius loop. The ribbon is unwrapped from the inside of coils on spool 72 and returned to the outside of the coils. The ribbon is advanced by a roller 90 engaging a shaft 102 on the carriage. The cassette has ribbon guides 78, 80, 82, 86, 88, 92. The cassette clips to the carriage by means of lugs 96.
