Abstract

Spring wheels with continuous older rigid ring and rubber-ring cushions; spring wheels with continuous outer resilient suspension ring; wheel body formed of elastic material without separate continuous rim.-A spring wheel comprises a disk a of rubber with enlarged portions c, d forming a felloe and hub respectively. Rings b<1>, b<2>. a<1>, a<2> reinforce the felloe and hub respectively and keep the disk in radial tension. A metallic hub f<1>, f<2> may be provided, bolts k coinciding with grooves in the rubber to form a driving-connexion. In the form shown in Fig. 5, a casing h<1>, h<2> carries a ring i to support an outer tyre g. The reinforcing-rings may be replaced by portions a', a<2> of the casings. The rubber disk may be in sections. The radial tension may be adjusted by means of screws within the hub. The rings a', a<2> and b<1>, b<2> may be of any cross-section and mav be formed so as to surround the hub and felloe respectively, or may be connected to one another.
