Abstract

1490831 Cleaning windows NIHON BTA CO Ltd 30 Jan 1976 [3 Feb 1975] 03669/76 Heading A4F [Also in Division B1] A window pane cleaner comprises a cleaning head 2 having chambers 4, 6 separated a partition 12, a suction-generating device connected by a pipe 16 to the chamber 6, a foam-generating device 18 connected by a pipe 15 to the chamber 4, and a rubber or soft plastics squeegee 9 secured to the mouth of the chamber 6. Foam sucked into chamber 6 may be recycled as shown in Fig. 4, dirt being separated by devices 23 and 21, and recycled foam and fresh air being supplied to the foam-generating device 18 by an air compressor 17. In modifications Figs. 5 and 6, (not shown) a separate pump (26) is used to supply foam to the foam-generating device 18, and foam is not recycled. Foam may be generated in the device 18 by rotating brushes or ultrasonically.
