148,901. Brõuer, R. April 21, 1915, [Convention date]. Addition to 148,899. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Field carriages.-A coupling in the form of a jib or cantilever is adapted to transfer the weight or part of the weight of a vehicle to an adjacent vehicle. A gun carriage 1 is provided at its front end with a jib-like braced frame 5 which couples the carnage to the tractor 14 and transfers some of the load thereto. The point of connexion to the tractor is adjustable longitudinally to vary the distribution of load between the two axles. A similar frame 6 may be fitted to the front of the tractor 14 and provided with a screw adjustment 13 by which it is connected to an additional tractor. The frames may be fitted to both ends of the gun-carriage.
