Abstract

1487851 Dyeing textiles NIELS BERGHOLTZ & CO KB 16 Oct 1974 [16 Oct 1973] 45130/74 Heading D1L In the dyeing of textiles the dye liquor is heated or cooled by heat exchange medium contained within a chamber A surrounding the liq. treatment vessel, the chamber A being open at the top and communicating with space B above the dye liquor. In Fig. 1, vessel 2 for dyeing textile 5 wound on carrier 4 is surrounded by a pressure vessel 1 which forms an annular chamber A into which steam, hot or cooling water is introduced from ring distribution pipe 10 at the upper end of the chamber. Condensed steam or warmed water is discharged via outlet 27 at the chamber bottom. In Fig. 6 the annular chamber is spaced from the inner wall of the pressure vessel. Figs. 7 and 8 show the heat exchange chamber A incorporated into apparatus for endless loop dyeing.
