Abstract
1487703 Road vehicle suspensions HC-SLAP AB 3 Jan 1975 168/75 Heading B7D A lorry has a superstructure 4 supported on axles 8 by hydraulic cylinders 1 extending between the superstructure and trailing arms 6 pivotally connected to the superstructure, a panhard rod 2 being connected between the superstructure and each axle. Each trailing arm 6 is secured to the associated axle 8 by U- bolts 3 and has a downwardly joggled rear end which extends rearwardly from the axle for attachment to the hydraulic cylinder 1. The hydraulic cylinders 1 are connected to an hydraulic system, Fig. 1 (not shown), which includes for the two cylinders 1 on each side of the vehicle a common accumulator 10 and a pressure gauge 9 for determining the axle loadings, and also includes a central hydraulic pump 17 from which all the cylinders 1 can be supplied through respective one-way valves.
