Abstract
1486496 Pneumatic conveying in mines K J CROWLEY 23 Sept 1975 [2 Oct 1974 22 Jan 1975 5 May 1975 23 July 1975] 38973/75 Heading B8A An underground working is sealed off from external pressure by a cover 26 and a conveying pipe passes through the cover to the working, and means are provided to pump air into or withdraw it from the working so as to create a conveying draught in the pipe. The end of the pipe at the working has a closure flap and may be telescopic or flexible. Water nozzles may be provided on the pipe for lubricating conveyer material.
