Abstract

1486445 Cable conduit SUPERFLEXIT Ltd 24 June 1975 [16 July 1974] 31534/74 Heading H2C [Also in Division F2] A foil shielded cable conduit comprises a body 10 of flexible material, e.g. PVC or elastomeric material, which may have wire reinforcements 11, 12, helically wound first and second foil layers, the second layer covering the helical space between adjacent turns of the first layer, and a double sided adhesive tape 16, e.g. of PVC, between the first and second layers. The foil may be of a high nickel-iron alloy such as MuMetal (R.T.M.) or Hipernom, or Monel metal (R.T.M.) Braiding 13, 20 may be provided within the first and/or outside the second foil layers and a PVC sheath 21 may enclose the whole conduit.
