Abstract

1485385 Cabinets MINES and WEST Ltd 4 Dec 1974 [14 Jan 1974] 01666/74 Heading A4B A cabinet body comprises a U-shaped member 2 forming top 3, rear 4, and base 4 panels and made from a single piece of bent steel sheet, and separate side panels 8 secured to flanges 6 bent inwardly from the lateral margins of the U-shaped member 2. The side panels 8 may be secured by screws passed through apertures 10 in the flanges 6 and into threaded inserts in blind bores 9 in the side panels 8. Drawer runners 15 and/or shelves 12 are similarly secured by screws threadedly engaged in blind bores 9. The side panels 8 may comprise wood or cardboard with a synthetic plastics surface finish. The U-shaped member 2 may have a p.v.c. coating. A drawer locking bar 17 may be provided on one or both side panels 8.
