Abstract

1485151 Multiple glazing units GLAVERBEL-MECANIVER 16 Jan 1975 [22 Jan 1974] 02876/74 Heading E1R A multiple glazing unit with sound insulating properties comprises at least three vitreous sheets 11, 13, 14 and metal spacers 17 of channel section. Sheets 13 and 14 are in direct contact with one of the walls 19 of the spacer giving a "dynamic coupling", the inner sheet 13 being held in position by the resilient portion 22 of the spacer while the outer sheets 11, 14 are attached to the spacer by, preferably non-hardening, adhesive at 20, 21, giving a "non-dynamic coupling". Desiccants may be used in the air space.
