Abstract

1459020 Glazing YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 3 Dec 1974 [3 Dec 1973] 52268/74 Heading E1R An insulated window comprises three transparent sheets in parallel spaced relationship, at least one sheet being of different thickness, elastic holding means B having grooves 4, 5 in which the edges of the outer sheets are adhered and a groove 6 in which the intermediate sheet is freely supported. The inner sheet is thicker than the outer sheets. The means B has cavities 7, 8 containing dessicant in communication with the air spaces between the sheets. Surfaces 11, 12 between the sheets are covered with sound absorbing material, eg felt. The means B is secured in a wood frame 14; alternatively it is secured by adhesive in a metal frame (40, Fig. 3).
