Abstract

1485118 Connector bodies HAFFENDENRICHBOROUGH Ltd 15 Nov 1974 [6 Sept 1973] 42056/73 Heading H2E An electrical conneutor comprises a base member and a cover member, one of the members being of a moulded elastomer and having a securing element with a shank and a non- circular head secured in a similarly shaped recess, the shank, in use, locking with a cooperating element to secure the base and cover together. The cover 1 of a plug is moulded from rubber with a through-hole 2 and non-circular counterbore 3. Within the hole and counterbore is a metal or plastics insert comprising a head 4 and shank 5 with a plain or tapped bore 6; the head is non-circular and the insert is secured to the cover by adhesive, welding, riveting or mechanical inter-engagement. The plug base (not shown) has a screw which engages the bore 6. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,419,824.
