Abstract

1483622 Sound attenuating partitions BPA BYGGPRODUKTION AB 20 Sept 1974 41172/74 Heading E1W A sound attenuating partition is formed using studs or passing strips to provide a framework which is clad on both sides by surface covering material and at least partly infilled with accoustically insulating material. The studs or passing strips comprise a pair of parallelly extending elongate structures 9, 10 interconnected by weakened portions 7' formed by an acute bend. The studs may be formed by a strip 9 joined to a wooden batten 10 or may alternatively be formed by two symmetrical strips 9 one on each side of the weakened ridge 3'. The weakened portions may be formed by removing parts of the ridge 3' by grinding or punching or by intending the ridge or by increasing the width of the flanges forming the ridge 3'.
