Abstract
148,315. Huth Ges., Dr. E. F. July 1, 1915, [Convention date]. Reels and reel-carriages. - A winch, specially adapted for wireless aerials on aircraft, is formed of a drum 1 of wood or other insulating material which is surrounded by a protecting ring 4 through which the aerial can pass. A shock-absorbing spring is interposed somewhere between the drum and the free end of the aerial, preferably between the drum and the aerial attachment A ratchet device (not shown) is also provided to secure the drum in any desired position.
