Abstract
332,722. Parker, H. E., and Parker, T. H. July 4, 1929. Tool-arm mountings.-A vibration. transmitting arm 1 for use in soundreproducing mechanism is secured to a stylus carrier 5, a diaphragm or armature at 4, and at one or more points 2, such that the motion transmitted to the armature or diaphragm is in the same direction as that of the stylus, to a ring or strip 3 of thin flexible metal which is secured to or on the casing of the mechanism. The ring 3 may be connected at two points 2 to the arm 1, as shown in Fig. 1, or at one point only such that the points 2, 4 and stylus end of the arm are in alignment, as shown in Fig. 3. If desired, only part of the ring 3 may be provided. The ring or strip 3 may form part of the usual cover provided over the diaphragm.
