Abstract

1481069 Silo bottom unloader KARL H€NDLE & SOHNE MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIESSEREI 10 Sept 1974 [13 Sept 1973] 39388/74 Heading B8E A silo sweep arm bottom unloader has a radial arm 12 having a worm 41 for conveying inwards material to a discharge shaft 35 the outlet opening 37 of which is directed to a conveyer 38 discharging the material out of the silo. The arm 12 is rotated about its axis 9 by hydraulic piston and cylinders 28, 24 engaging by driving pins 29 a ratchet wheel 22, Fig. 2, while a motor 51 through a transmission 52 drives the worm 41. The rotor 8 mounting the arm 12 has a cylindrical port 13 and an upper core 11 and is mounted to rotate on the axis 9 by a neck bearing 10, Fig. 3, comprising stationary and running rings 16, 18 having rollers 20 housed in corresponding grooves. The ring 16, 18 having holding rings mounted under a cover ring 17 forming a sealing gap with an inner cover ring 19. The discharge shaft outlet 37 is arranged below the neck bearing 10.
