Sealing unit, for process mixing vessels with internal agitators on shafts extending from externally mounted drive units, comprises two mechanical, rotary seals of different diameters, mounted on the shaft with their rotatable rings facing each other and axially overlapped to reduce axial space requirements to a minimum.
