Abstract

1480648 Spray-producers LECHLER APPARATEBAU KG and WESTFALIA LUNEN 8 Aug 1974 35114/74 Heading B2F [Also in Division F2] A coupling comprises a pipe section 14 and a nozzle 10 with a nozzle bore 11 and nozzle outlet 12, which is placed in a recess 13 of the pipe (end) section 14 whereby it engages with a ledge 15 at the base of recess 13, the joint being sealed by an elastic ring 17; two slots 18, 19 of semi-circular cross-section located diametrically opposite each other extend substantially perpendicularly to the nozzle axis and co-operate with two slots 20, 21 of similar orientation and cross-section to slots 18 and 19, in the wall of the pipe end section to form two bores each of circular cross-section to receive cotter pins 22, 23 which may be connected to form a U-shaped member. Recess 13 further extends rearwardly in the pipe end section 14 to receive a cleaning needle 24 which can be displaced such that the needle tip 26 is inserted into the nozzle outlet 12 and is returned to its initial position by a spring 25. The pipe end section 14 may also be fitted to a further pipe section in the same way as that in which the nozzle was joined thereto, through slots 31 and 32 corresponding to slots 18 and 19.
