Class 81(2) [Also in Group XXVIII] In a heart catheter comprising a tube 1 made of a plasticized synthetic substance and having a metal injection piece 6 fitted over its outer end 4, a fluid-tight connection is provided by enlarging the bore of the end 4 and inserting a stiffening tube 5 the bore of which corresponds to that of the tube before enlargement. An extension 7 of the injection piece 6 has ribs 8 which are pressed into grooves 9 in the end 4, and a flexible tube 10 slipped over the end 4 covers the grooves. The other end of the tube 1 is open and has graduations on its outer surface.
