The scoring discs comprise an unyielding annulus 84 and a yielding annulus 85. The cheeks 86 and 87 are separable so that the yielding annulus may be replaced by an unyielding annulus. Replacement of annulus 84 on the other disc by a yielding annulus will then cause the score line to be formed on the reverse side of the sheet. The belts 75 and 76 comprise co-operating forming elements 121 and 126 to fold the sheet along the score line. At the downstream end of the belts these elements are closer together so that the sheet is progressively folded. Downstream of the belts is a carriage 180 supporting the nip rollers 78 and 79 for compressing the fold.
