Abstract

1478699 Open end spinning TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK and DATWA BOSEKI KK 30 Oct 1974 [31 Oct 1973] 46937/74 Heading DID [Also in Division F2] A rotor spindle in an open end spinning device is supported by a bearing 5 and has at one end a drive member 8 for engagement with a drive belt 7, the drive member 8 being made of a material having a lower heat conductivity than that of the rotor spindle. The drive member 8 may be made of carbonchromium steel. The bearing may contain lubricants or be made of plastics. The spinning device may be pivotable to expose the spinning chamber and brake the device. The arrangement reduces the transfer of heat generated by drive belt 7 to the bearing 5.
