Abstract

1478177 Sewing machine presser foot TEXTRON INC 24 Sept 1974 [26 Sept 1973] 41493/74 Heading D1G A presser foot for use when sewing on sliding-clasp fastener tape comprises a shank 16 for attaching to the presser-bar, a member 14 slidable transversely to the seam which carries a sole plate 12 pivoted to it by means of snap fastenings 68, 70 and 34, 35. A nose 32 on the sole plate deflects the stringer elements into one of a pair of lingitudinal grooves 26, 28 in the bottom surface of the plate. The presser foot may be made of plastics material. A bore 22 is provided for the passage of the sewing needle.
