Abstract
1478178 Sewing machine presser foot TEXTRON INC 24 Sept 1974 [26 Sept 1973] 41494/74 Heading D1G A presser foot for use when sewing on sliding-clasp fastener tapes comprises a body 12 having depending spaced apart legs 18, 20 for pressing the material down, and a movable guide member 14 which is slidable on the block (Figure 1) or pivoted on it (114, Figure 4) so that it may be raised to permit the passage of a slider 72 without having to lift the whole presser foot. A spring biassed detent (Fig. 3, not shown) holds the slidable guide member in its two positions, while a pivot having high friction holds the pivoted guide member. A bore or notch is provided for the passage of the sewing needle.
