Abstract

1494500 Presser foot, sewing in sliding clasp fasteners YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 22 Nov 1974 [27 Nov 1973] 50755/74 Heading D1G The claims relate to a method of sewing into a garment a sliding clasp fastener, using a presser foot provided with a lower rib. The foot comprises a sole 11, a ridge 18 extending beyond the under side 20a, 21a of the sole and a needle passage 19. The lower edge 18a of the ridge engages in a wale G of the tape T while the fastener elements E are received in a groove 14 or 15. In a modification (Fig. 4 not shown) the presser foot sole (25) has ribs (23, 24) at the edges, needle passages 22 also being provided therein.
