Abstract
1477015 Nickel-chromium alloy INCO EUROPE Ltd 19 July 1974 [2 Aug 1973] 32108/74 Heading C7A An alloy of composition:- with the provisos (1) If molybdenum is absent the boron content does not exceed 0À5% and the nickel content does not exceed 49% and (2) If the carbon content exceeds 0À05% the boron content does not exceed 0À5%. The alloy may be prepared by air induction melting in a magnesia crucible, deoxidizing with aluminium and casting at 1454C. The alloy may be heat treated for one hour at 1204C, air cooled and may be welded using matching filler wire to provide welded structures incorporating castings of the alloy which may be used in vehicle turbines.
