Abstract

1476801 Electro-photographic contact printing XEROX CORP 24 July 1974 32679/74 Heading G2H An original 3 is placed between a light admitting support 1 and a flexible imaging member 2, the member 2 having a photo-conductive insulating first surface 19 and an earthed, electrically conducting, light admitting, second surface 21, after which the first surface 19 is uniformly charged and then exposed to light 4 through the support 1, the original 3 and the second surface 21. In Fig. 4, the support 1 takes the form of a resilient transparent plastics cylinder to which one end of the flexible member 2 is attached by a hinge 22 and the other end is attachable by a tensionable connector 23. The latent image is developed and the resultant toner image is transferred to a copy sheet 1 in known manner.
