Abstract

1476022 Flap hinges KUNSTSTOFF GmbH 4 Sept 1975 [4 Sept 1974] 36496/75 Heading E2F A flap hinge having an opening angle of 90‹ comprises a hinge part 4 having a portion 4a which can be sunk into a recess in the floor of a compartment closable by a flap and a housing 5 (half only shown) which can be sunk into a recess in the flap, the housing 5 having only two oppositely disposed, rectilinear slide tracks 6 which open towards an interior space and are each open at both ends, and the hinge part 4 having an arm 8 which extends into the interior space and carries pins 7 received within the slide tracks 6, the arm 8 also having a slot-like rectilinear guide track 9 receiving a peg 10 secured to the housing 5. Preferably a base 12 of the housing 5 has an opening 13 extending across the interior space, and a surface 11 of the arm 8 aligns with an adjacent portion of the surface of the housing 5 in each of the open and closed positions of the hinge.
