Abstract

1474372 Fuel injection pumps CAV Ltd 2 July 1974 [17 July 1973] 33868/73 Heading F1A The delivery valve of a fuel injection pump comprises a valve-member 17 having a head 16 cooperable with a seating 15 and a stem 21, 22 having a collar 21 which slides in a sleeve 23, the sleeve 23 being axially adjustable in order to vary the amount of fuel unloaded from the delivery line 19 before seating of the head 16. The sleeve 23 is adjustable by linkage coupled to the pump's fuel quantity controller. A spring 18 urges the valve to its closed position.
