Abstract

1472539 Manganese zinc ferrites MULLARD Ltd 3 July 1974 [24 Aug 1973] 40202/73 Heading C1J A ferromagnetic ferrite core is manufactured by wet grinding a mixture comprising Fe 2 O 3 , ZnO, a manganese oxide, and optionally one or more of SnO 2 , TiO 2 , SiO 2 , CaO, OuO and MgO and/or one or more of a compound of Sn, Ti, Si, Ca, Cu and Mg decomposable to the oxide on heating, drying the resultant, slurry, forming into shape of core and sintering, wherein the particle sizes of the materials forming the mixture are less than 1 micron. Examples describe MnZnMgCu ferrites, MnZnFe<SP>2+</SP> ferrites containing tin and optionally titanium and MnZn ferrites optionally contain SiO 2 and/or CaO.
