Abstract

1472538 Marine structure REDPATH DORMAN LONG (NORTH SEA) Ltd 19 July 1974 [20 July 1973 9 Oct 1973] 34680/73 and 47095/73 Heading E1H A marine structure 10 having a foundation raft 14 on the sea bed 21 has venting flaps 16 17 responsive to the movement of waves over the raft whereby pore water pressure beneath the raft is reduced with respect to the hydrostatic pressure appropriate to the depth of water below the mean level of water in which the raft is founded. The marine structure shown has eight supporting legs 11 and a central column 12 through which a water duct passes from opening 20 to the venting flaps.
