1472318 Noise damping in blower air inlet ducts MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURGNURNBERG AG 23 Dec 1974 [22 Dec 1973] 55466/74 Heading B7B [Also in Division F1] Noise in a gas carrying duct 6, Fig. 1 (e.g. for supplying cooling air to a radiator 5 of an I.C. engine 3 of an omnibus 1) is absorbed by elements 8, 9, which each comprise a core 18, 19 of sound absorbent material (such as foam, glass wool or mineral wool) coated with a water and oil repellent material which itself is partly surrounded by a perforated metal sheet 28, 29 having a U-shaped cross-section. Each element 8, 9 is releasably mounted in one or two guide channels 10, 11.
