1472024 Straightening machines J L SEMENKO and N V TUMANOV 8 May 1975 19364/75 Heading B3E A roll-straightening machine for straightening a tube or rolled section 10 comprises a row of stands 7a, 7b on a common bed frame, each stand accommodating a pair of rolls 6 mounted on respective driving shafts 3, some 7b of the stands having rolls which oscillate in a vertical plane due to eccentric driving hubs 12, and which can also be oscillated in a horizontal plane to generate a circular path for the roll pass 9. The horizontal oscillation is effected by a motor driven eccentric 24 which is coupled by a rod 21 to a housing 15 for the rolls. The stands 7a and 7b may alternate, or two stands 7b (with hubs 12 of different eccentricity) may be located between adjacent stands 7a.
