Abstract

147,076. Gatti, R. July 7, 1919, [Convention date]. Signs.-Relates to signs consisting of a glass plate 1 lighted at the side and having the design cut in the rear face of the plate. The invention consists in backing the plate with an opaque layer 2. The design may be in relief or in intaglio. Instead of being located at the edges of the plate, the lamps 3 may be arranged as shown in Fig. 4, the plate 1 being bevelled at 4 to reflect the light through the length of the plate. Reflectors may be provided on the lamps 3, and the sign may be double-faced. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of a crystal plate and a dull or opaque backing layer with a silvered layer. This subject-matter does' not appear in the Specification as accepted.
